Tension surged as "The Nui," a three-term Member of Parliament for Songkhla, removed himself from the Bhumjaithai Party MPs' Line group after media reported his absence from the list of parliamentary committee chairs allocated to Bhumjaithai Party.
On 28 April 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that following a coalition party meeting at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, the names of 14 parliamentary committee chairpersons allocated to Bhumjaithai Party were revealed.
However, it was found that Nattachon Srikokeua, a three-term Songkhla MP, left the Bhumjaithai Party MPs' Line group after learning from media reports that he was not listed as a chairperson of any parliamentary committee representing the party.
Nattachon had been considered a likely candidate for a parliamentary committee chair position allocated to Bhumjaithai Party, but the final list did not include his name at all.
So far, no official statement has been made by Nattachon or Bhumjaithai Party regarding this matter.
