Pracha Chart Party Selects Chairpersons for 9 Committees Rome Appointed Justice Committee Chair

The Pracha Chart Party has completed selecting chairpersons for nine committees. "Rome" was appointed chair of the Justice Committee, while "Rakchanok Srinok" was named chair of the Budget Oversight Committee.


At 8:00 p.m. on 28 April 2026, reporters stated that the Pracha Chart Party spent six hours selecting chairpersons for nine committees allocated to them. The process involved candidate applications, vision presentations, and secret ballots. The results were as follows.


1. Committee on Prevention and Mitigation of Natural Disasters and Public Calamities had only one candidate, who was Mr. Phattharaphong Leelaphat, Member of Parliament (MP) for Chiang Mai.

2. Committee on Social Welfare had only one candidate, who was Ms. Ratchanok Sukprasert, MP for Samut Prakan.

3. Committee on Transportation had two candidates: Mr. Surachet Praveenvongwut, party-list MP, and Mr. Supanat Meenachainan, MP for Bangkok. The winner was Mr. Supanat.

4. Committee on Economic Development had only one candidate, who was Mr. Weerayut Kanchuchat, party-list MP.

5. Committee on Military Affairs had only one candidate, who was Mr. Ekrach Udomamnuay, MP for Bangkok.

6. Committee on Political Development, Mass Communication, and Public Participation had only one candidate, who was Ms. Phakamon Noon-anant, party-list MP.

7. Committee on Budget Management and Oversight had two candidates: Mr. Thanyathorn Thaninwatthanathorn, MP for Bangkok, and Ms. Rakchanok Srinok, party-list MP. The winner was Ms. Rakchanok.

8. Committee on Law, Justice, and Human Rights had only one candidate, who was Mr. Rangsiman Rome, party-list MP.

9. Committee on Court Affairs, Independent Organizations, Prosecutor's Office, State Enterprises, Public Organizations, and Funds had two candidates: Mr. Theerachai Panthumart, MP for Bangkok, and Dr. Wayo Asawarungroj, party-list MP. The winner was Dr. Wayo.
