The Deputy Government Spokesperson revealed that the Thai Chuey Thai project will offer affordable goods, kicking off nationwide on 1 May with sales points in all 878 districts, supporting Thai SMEs on online platforms.
On 29 April 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertwiwatthana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister, announced that the "Thai Chuey Thai" project, aimed at easing living costs for the public, is set to expand access through all channels by selling affordable consumer goods at district offices across all 878 districts nationwide, launching on Friday, 1 May 2026, and proceeding continuously into phase two.
The Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, together with the Department of Provincial Administration, Ministry of Interior, and modern trade wholesalers and retailers such as Makro, Lotus’s, Big C, TOPS, and Go Wholesale, have established "Thai Chuey Thai" sales points to conveniently provide affordable products near people's homes. Sales will begin on Friday, 1 May 2026, and continue every Friday throughout May on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.
This collaboration builds on efforts started on 1 April 2026, when "Thai Chuey Thai" products were sold through large wholesale and retail chains, with expanded distribution to local retail shops and online platforms including Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, GrabMart, and LINE MAN.
In phase two, the project will further support Thai SMEs by piloting 2,000 sellers to list their products on online platforms, expanding market opportunities and access to new markets, alongside government assistance such as free shipping support and 500,000 discount coupons worth 100 baht each. Private platforms will also waive commission fees to reduce costs for sellers.
The Deputy Spokesperson added that these measures aim to increase public access to affordable goods. The products sold are House Brand items from modern wholesale and retail chains, covering over 3,000 essential daily consumer goods with discounts of up to 58%, as well as alternative brand products participating in promotional discounts.
The public is invited to shop for "Thai Chuey Thai" products at district offices in all 878 districts nationwide starting from 1 May 2026.
