The Director of the Budget Bureau has set a deadline for government agencies to submit their fiscal year 70 budget requests by 1 May. The budget transfer bill will not be presented to the Cabinet next week.
At 09:30 on 29 April 2026 at the Government House, Anan Kaewkamnerd, Director of the Budget Bureau, said that after the Cabinet approved the fiscal year 2570 budget framework totaling 3.788 trillion baht, agencies are required to submit their budget requests to the Budget Bureau by 1 May.
When asked about setting budget cuts on non-urgent items for use in the fiscal year 2569 budget transfer bill, Anan said the necessity of each agency’s requests must be considered according to policy. The bill will not be presented to the Cabinet next week.
