NEPC Meeting Discusses Electricity Tariff Structure, Aiming for June Billing Cycle

The Secretary-General of the Energy Regulatory Commission revealed that today's NEPC meeting assigned policies to develop electricity tariff structures for all residential groups, emphasizing completion by the June billing cycle.

On 29 April at Government House, Mr. Poolpat Leesombatpaiboon, Secretary-General of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), disclosed that at today's National Energy Policy Committee (NEPC) meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, there was discussion on the overall electricity tariff structure, particularly for residential groups. Currently, the Deputy Prime Minister will provide policy guidance along with the meeting, and the next step will be for the ERC to develop the electricity tariff structure accordingly.

When asked about the completion timeline, the ERC Secretary-General stated that the government has set a target to finish by the June billing cycle. Following this, the ERC will carry out the tariff-setting procedures, which is its responsibility.
