
Pradorn, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, announced the first Economic Cabinet meeting on 4 May and plans to launch the “Thai Chua Thai Plus” program starting 1 June.
At 09:25 on 29 April 2026 at Government House, Minister Pradorn Prisananantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, spoke about the progress of establishing the Economic Policy Committee, or Economic Cabinet. He said the Prime Minister's order was issued on 28 April, and the first meeting will be held on 4 May. Key agenda items will include the Thai Chua Thai Plus program and various economic policies aimed at supporting citizens during the war situation, including the existing Khon La Khrueng program incorporated into Thai Chua Thai Plus, as well as energy transition discussions, which will be substantial.
Minister Pradorn said that at the first Economic Cabinet meeting this Monday, the details of the Khon La Khrueng Plus project will likely be finalized since the goal is to have it ready for use by 1 June, allowing about one month for registration. Budget details and funding sources will be discussed during the Economic Cabinet meeting on Monday.
