
The Election Commission is preparing to submit a list of 11 witnesses to the Constitutional Court in the ballot case. Among them are four external experts in law and technology, along with complete statements, awaiting the Constitutional Court's consideration.
At 09:30 on 29 April 2026 at TK Palace Hotel, Mr. Sa-wang Bunmee, Secretary-General of the Election Commission, revealed progress on submitting the witness list and their statements in the case concerning barcodes and QR codes on ballots. Currently, the Election Commission office has sent a list of 11 witnesses to the Constitutional Court. Of these, seven are from the Election Commission office, including himself as Secretary-General, and four are external experts, consisting of legal and technology specialists. They are now preparing written statements from all witnesses to submit to the Constitutional Court for consideration. Whether the Constitutional Court will call the proposed witnesses for examination is at the court’s discretion. All witnesses supporting the Election Commission are ready to testify in person if summoned by the court.
