Rachen Silparaya, Director-General of the Royal Rainmaking Department, submitted his resignation after being abruptly transferred to a supervisory position just five months before his retirement. He questioned, "What did I do wrong?" and revealed that mysterious contacts have requested project quotas and summoned him to discuss the 2027 budget.


On 29 Apr 2026 at 13:50 GMT+7, reporters stated that Rachen Silparaya, Director-General of the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, resigned from his post. He opened up about the reasons, asking, "What did I do wrong to be transferred?" He disclosed that several individuals had repeatedly contacted him to request project quotas, allegedly linked to high-ranking persons, and called him to discuss the 2027 budget. He left it to others to verify whether these claims were true.
