"Rachen" postponed his scheduled meeting with "Phai Lik" citing incomplete documents. Meanwhile, "Attakorn" pointed out that Rachen is requesting justice, expressed regret over losing a capable person, and suggested the possibility of using parliamentary mechanisms to investigate.
On 30 Apr 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that Phai Lik, Member of Parliament for Kamphaeng Phet and Secretary-General of the Kla Tham Party, posted on Facebook that Rachen Silparaya, former Director-General of the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department, planned to submit a plea for justice to the Kla Tham Party at the parliament building on 30 Apr after being abruptly transferred.
Recently, reporters inquired with Mr. Rachen, who confirmed that he could not attend the scheduled meeting because the documents supporting his request were incomplete. Therefore, he asked to postpone submitting the matter indefinitely.
Later at 13:10, Attakorn Sirilattayakorn, MP for Chachoengsao and spokesperson for the Kla Tham Party, said that Mr. Rachen previously contacted them to talk about his concerns and seek justice as someone they knew. However, the discussion had not gone into detail and was postponed because Rachen needed more time to prepare information.
Attakorn said that such off-season transfers are rare and happen quickly. He said it was regrettable, especially considering Rachen's achievements, who is an important figure in the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, such as his 2024 atmospheric management approach to addressing PM2.5 dust issues.
However, from an administrative perspective, Attakorn said he could not interfere. He acknowledged reports that Rachen had resigned, citing his inability to withstand political pressure, marking a loss of a talented official.
When asked about rumors of a political purge or revenge, Attakorn said he could not confirm and hoped such incidents would not occur as they would affect civil servants. He wished the transfer was not done out of bias. Regarding continuity, he noted that although the Director-General has a key role, other civil servants can support the system. He believed changes could wait and encouraged dialogue to build understanding first.
Regarding discussions with Thammanat Prompao, Attakorn admitted they had talked. As opposition, they will proceed to verify the facts and, if the transfer is unfair, may use parliamentary mechanisms for investigation.
At the same time, he denied rumors of a meeting at a political party on Ratchadaphisek Road, calling it a misunderstanding. He emphasized that official talks with Rachen are still awaited.
On whether the issue falls under criminal law Section 157, Attakorn said further fact-finding is needed before drawing conclusions.
