Anusorn Believes Thaksins Commutation Will Revive Pheu Thai Partys Spirit

Anusorn pointed out that Thaksin's commutation has sparked new hope in the Pheu Thai Party, boosting morale and driving all members to dedicate themselves tirelessly, as he remains the party’s "spiritual leader." He is confident this will restore the party's faith and energy.

On 2 May 2026, Anusorn Iamsa-ard, an executive committee member of the Pheu Thai Party, shared his perspective on former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s commutation, with Thaksin scheduled for release from prison on 11 May 2026. He said this event is not just a symbolic turning point but a spiritual shockwave that deeply nourishes the hearts of Pheu Thai members. Thaksin stands as the center of their faith, a pillar of intellectual stability, and a driving force long cultivated among party members. This commutation is like a breeze of hope, elegantly restoring confidence and morale throughout the party. Despite enduring political storms, the Pheu Thai Party has stood firm with strong spirit. This easing of circumstances, even in the form of a commutation, is a key factor revitalizing morale and strengthening internal stability amid ongoing pressures and challenges.

When asked whether Thaksin’s release will affect the party's revival, Anusorn firmly affirmed the positive impact is profound, especially regarding the morale of political personnel. This will become the driving force motivating everyone to work tirelessly, focusing on the nation's and people's best interests. Regardless of Thaksin’s status or location, he remains the "spiritual leader" and a unifying symbol of shared will that inspires all Pheu Thai members to commit to working for the country and people's greatest benefit.

"With the return of faith and dedicated hard work, the Pheu Thai Party will surely overcome obstacles and make a comeback," Anusorn said.
