“Natthachon” sharply criticizes the People's Party leader, urging him not to harass “Phiphat” and recalls how the Orange camp selected parliamentary candidates without any sense of responsibility.
On 2 May 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Natthachon Srikorkua, spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party, strongly responded to Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party, after being implicated in a call to remove Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, simply over an issue involving acquaintances. He described this as harassment and contradictory to the internal reality of his own party.
Mr. Natthachon said the People's Party's call to dismiss Mr. Phiphat on the grounds of acquaintanceship is "bizarre," especially coming from a party claiming to be a new generation, yet digging into personal relationships as a political tool, despite Mr. Phiphat having no behavior connected to any wrongdoing.
"Knowing someone does not mean supporting wrongdoing. When there is no related misconduct, why call for dismissal?" Natthachon questioned, harshly criticizing the People's Party's ethical standards. He stated that the party has MPs and candidates with severe behavioral problems, far beyond "gray area" to "black" in conduct. These issues are widely known nationwide, yet neither the party leader nor executives have shown accountability by resigning, despite having the authority to screen candidates legally.
"Youthful misbehavior or those with deeply troubled records have been approved and signed off by party executives to run in elections, yet Natthapong and his associates have shown no social responsibility whatsoever," Natthachon concluded.
