Mr. Akkranand stated, “The Ministry of Education has closely followed this case. The offender is currently serving approximately 36 years in prison. The ministry continues to prioritize the psychological care and rehabilitation of the victim, emphasizing that schools must stand firmly alongside their students. Three measures have been set to expedite assistance and prevent recurrence:

1. Lifetime revocation of the teaching license, coordinating with the Teachers' Council to ensure the individual cannot return to teaching.

2. Instruct the Office of the Private Education Commission to issue a warning letter to the school to properly care for and compensate the victim, and consider stricter enforcement measures such as license suspension or school closure.

3. Reach a conclusion on family compensation within two weeks through the school management committee, ensuring fairness and respect for human dignity.

Mr. Chanin added that the Ministry of Social Development has deployed social workers and psychologists to closely support the mental health of the victim and their family, aiming for swift psychological recovery. The ministry is also ready to integrate efforts with the Ministry of Education and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen child protection measures, establish effective school safety monitoring mechanisms, and prevent such distressing incidents from recurring.

“The victim's family has endured enough pain. We must work together to provide care and justice for them. I urge the school to discuss this matter and reach a resolution within two weeks. I will personally return to follow up on the progress. The Ministry of Education stands ready to support the victim and will enforce stringent safety measures in all schools to best protect every student.”
