
Prime Minister Anutin revealed plans to form a committee to study the Land Bridge project to align it with the current situation.
At 13:10 on 4 May 2026 at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, was asked before entering the party meeting whether the Cabinet meeting on 5 May would consider electricity price measures. The Prime Minister did not answer but gestured toward Energy Minister Anek Nattaporn.
When asked about the progress of the Land Bridge project, the Prime Minister replied, "Let me attend the party meeting first." When further asked how the government would respond to local residents in the South who have submitted objections to the Land Bridge project, the Prime Minister said that a committee would be established to study the project to ensure it aligns with the current situation.
