At 16:25 on 4 May 2026. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, said after the weekly meeting of the Bhumjaithai Party's Members of Parliament that the meeting included MPs and the party’s cabinet ministers to inform and gain support for the proposals Bhumjaithai will present in the House of Representatives. These proposals are also agenda items for the cabinet meeting tomorrow (5 May 2026), which is considered routine.
Regarding the question of the emergency decree (P.R.K.) to borrow 400 billion baht to address the impact of the Middle East crisis, and whether it would be presented at the cabinet meeting on 5 May, the Prime Minister responded, "Yes, it will. We say it, we do it."
Then reporters asked about the recent Dusit Poll survey, which reported political popularity ratings showing Prime Minister Anutin leading as the most prominent government politician (read more:April 2026 Political Index shows declines in all indicators; Anutin government stands out while opposition led by Abhisit) by the Prime Minister, who did not answer the question but raised his hands above his head in a respectful gesture and said "Sathu." He then immediately left the interview area.
