Nattapong Prempoolsawasdi, a People's Party Member of Parliament for Bangkok, outlined a timeline showing he officially informed the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) about the On Nut waste facility problem at least 25 times. He held six discussions directly in front of Governor Chadchart Sittipunt and insisted the issue should have been addressed long ago, rather than rushed now.
4 May 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Nattapong Prempoolsawasdi, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bangkok from the People's Party. He posted a message viaFacebook.Regarding the case of the On Nut waste facility, he stated that since becoming an MP, counting only official channels acknowledged 100% by the BMA—not including social media posts, coordination with other agencies outside the BMA, or activities before becoming an MP—he has followed up on the foul odor issue from the On Nut waste facility at least 25 times. Among these, Governor Chadchart Sittipunt was present live on four occasions, and Ms. Pattaraporn Kengrungrueangchai, or Nurse, a Bangkok Council Member for Bang Sue district from the People's Party, was present on two occasions. Altogether, Governor Chadchart was present at no fewer than six events, spanning 2023 to 2026.
The remaining efforts included submitting questions to ministers and working with subordinates of Governor Chadchart involved in this area, mostly from the BMA Environment Office. Most documents were sent to the Governor, who then assigned the office accordingly, meaning the issue was fully acknowledged. This excludes some meetings not posted on social media, which he sometimes forgot to mention. He therefore used this space to outline the timeline as follows.

9 April 2026: Council Member Nurse raised the issue in the Bangkok Council; Governor Chadchart stood and assigned the Deputy Governor to respond.
"I emphasize that all these are only through official channels confirmed as acknowledged by the BMA. There are additional communications with other agencies and posts on various platforms, which would greatly increase this number. I am not criticizing Governor Chadchart personally, but I must communicate this issue to ensure it receives due attention from the BMA. This should have been done long ago, not rushed only recently, because the public is suffering and cannot wait. It affects their lives and health. Ultimately, I want to stress the reason for raising this: the highest priority is for this problem to be resolved, regardless of who the next administration is. This issue must receive the importance the public has long awaited."
