The Prime Minister has ordered the establishment of a one-stop service to provide public consultation on installing "solar rooftops" following a positive response. Meanwhile, Ratchada confirmed that the Prime Minister emphasized to ministers the need to explain parliamentary questions and instructed Pradorn to coordinate with the opposition.
At 14:00 on 5 May 2026, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, stated after the Cabinet meeting that the Prime Minister directed, based on the government's policy to encourage citizens to transition from imported energy to clean energy such as solar rooftops, that public interest in switching to solar rooftops has grown. Therefore, the Prime Minister has instructed the Ministry of Energy and related agencies to urgently set up a comprehensive consultation center, or a one-stop service, so that citizens can access accurate and complete information and make confident decisions regarding suitability for installation, cost-effectiveness, procedures, and government support measures. Currently, state banks have incentives encouraging citizens to install solar rooftops, including the Government Housing Bank and the Government Savings Bank.
Ms. Ratchada said the Prime Minister also emphasized during the Cabinet meeting the importance of answering live parliamentary questions. He stressed that this administration values live question sessions but understands ministers’ duties, so he assigned Minister Pradorn Prisananantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, to coordinate with the opposition on managing scheduling to align times. The Prime Minister attaches great importance to ministers attending question sessions. However, if ministers have conflicting duties, he requests understanding with the opposition, affirming that this government will not avoid live parliamentary questions. The Prime Minister reiterated his desire for smooth cooperation between government and opposition and emphasized that live question sessions should genuinely provide benefit.
