At 12:30 p.m. on 5 May 2026 at the Government House, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul gave an interview clarifying the government's policy regarding the live broadcast of the 2026 World Cup which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, confirming whether Thai people will be able to watch it live this mid-year. "It must be made available. Every government has ensured Thai people can watch the World Cup. Will this government be an exception? As for the method, we'll discuss that later."
