Panpree Chairs Meeting to Prepare Thai Delegation for SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026

Panpree held a preparatory meeting with the Thai delegation to prepare for participation in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026, aiming to promote economic cooperation and trade negotiations between Thailand and the United States.

On 5 May 2026, Mr. Panpree Pahitthanukorn, Chairman of the Advisory Committee to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired a preparatory meeting for the mission during his upcoming U.S. visit. The meeting was joined by the Thai private sector delegation led by Mr. Phot Aramwattananon, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington.

The meeting discussed preparations for the Thai delegation's participation in the SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026, an annual event hosted by the U.S. Department of Commerce from 3 to 6 May 2026 in Maryland. It also covered discussions with relevant U.S. sectors to strengthen ties and build a mutually beneficial economic partnership. Mr. Suriya Jindawong, Ambassador to the U.S., provided a briefing on recent developments in the U.S. economic and political landscape. Participants exchanged views on advancing economic cooperation and trade negotiations between Thailand and the U.S. and prepared to maximize benefits from the upcoming activities and discussions with U.S. counterparts.

Additionally, the Advisory Committee Chairman attended the Open House at the Royal Thai Embassy in Washington to support cultural performances. He also visited exhibitions and booths from Team Thailand agencies and the Thai community in the U.S., which attracted over 3,000 attendees. This event was part of Passport DC: Around the World Embassy Tour 2026, an annual Washington initiative allowing foreign embassies to showcase their countries and cultures to the local public, thereby strengthening Thailand–U.S. relations at the community level.
