The Prachachon Party launched its Bangkok governor election campaign, admitting the race is tough but pledging to fight fiercely and urging Bangkok residents to support the entire team.
On 5 May 2026 at the Mitr-ting room, 5th floor of Samyan Mitrtown, the Prachachon Party (PChon), led by party leader Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, along with senior leaders such as party secretary Pichon Chaowaphatwong and deputy leader Wirot Lakkhanaadisorn, jointly launched the Bangkok election campaign titled "Bangkok Made Easy by the People's Governor." The event was energetically attended by Bangkok MPs and prospective candidates for the 50 district council seats.
The event opened with a video introducing the 50 prospective district council candidates, highlighting their mission to solve structural problems affecting daily life, such as the difficult connectivity of transportation systems and limitations in patient referral rights to hospitals—longstanding issues raised by the party's Bangkok MPs from their fieldwork.
Before the event began, Natthapong said the main goal of launching the campaign was to communicate the "city's agenda," so Bangkok residents could clearly envision what life in the city would be like in the next 4 to 10 years, and to ask for the opportunity for the party to begin work on 28 June 2026.
"I fully understand that the Bangkok election is not an easy challenge for the Prachachon Party because we must admit the current governor's team has performed well. But I deeply believe Bangkok can be even better. The city must be a strong support for those who fall and a protective wing for those ready to move forward," Natthapong said.
The party leader concluded by asking for votes and trust from Bangkok residents who had supported the party in the last two general elections, stating that this time the party is coming with a "full team," not just a governor candidate but also district council teams, advisory teams, and MPs from all 33 districts working seamlessly together to transform Bangkok into a city that is easy for everyone.
