Lisa Exposes Purchase of 500 Rai Land from Nominee Company Ama Awaiting Land Bridge Project

"Lisa" exposes the acquisition of 500 rai of land from a nominee company called Ama, awaiting the "Land Bridge" project, and advises Minister Phiphat to visit and listen to residents near Ao Khe, Ranong Province.

On 6 May 2026, Ms. Phakamon Hunanun, a party-list MP and spokesperson for the People's Party, said that promoting the "Land Bridge" without explaining its origins or what will happen before it begins is selling dreams and taking excessive advantage. She asked if anyone can guarantee that the lessons learned from the EEC project won't be repeated in the South. She expressed regret that Minister of Transport Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn canceled his trip to the South and urged him to genuinely listen to the people, not just organized groups. If he doesn't know where to go, she recommended Ao Khe, Ranong Province, where residents are ready to provide information. She noted that in the past 2-3 months, over 500 rai of land have been snapped up from a nominee company well known locally as Ama. As an expert on the South, the minister should definitely be aware if he visits.

"This government lacks sincerity and public responsibility. Everything seems rushed and pushed through. When the media recently asked the Prime Minister how he can guarantee the project won't favor foreign investors leasing land, the Prime Minister simply said to look at him, saying that for 7-8 years he has never favored anyone. I think such a response is too simplistic. He only uses his reputation as a guarantee that he won't act in anyone's favor. But today, what we are concerned about is the people's benefit; the country's resources are at stake. There must be factual confirmation rather than just saying 'I am a good person, believe me.' This makes me think the government has lacked sincerity from the start." Ms. Phakamon said
