Anutin Sends Captain and Private Plane on Heart Wings Mission to Transport Donor Heart to Patient

Prime Minister Anutin dispatched a captain and a private plane for the Heart Wings mission, assisting medical teams in retrieving a heart from a brain-dead donor to help a patient awaiting transplantation successfully.

At approximately 14:00 on 6 May 2026, reporters reported that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul coordinated with a captain and provided a private plane to support the medical team’s mission to retrieve a heart from a brain-dead donor who had consented to organ donation at Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani Province.

This mission successfully transported one heart to aid a patient awaiting transplantation. The operation proceeded smoothly and is considered an important part of the “Heart Wings” project, which aims to support medical personnel and increase survival chances for patients awaiting organ transplants.

The Heart Wings mission has been supported by Anutin since 2014. Initially, he personally flew the medical team to collect organs from brain-dead donors who had consented to donation. After becoming Prime Minister, he shifted to coordinating captains and providing private planes for these missions.

Previously, Anutin received a plaque from the Thai Red Cross Society in appreciation of his ongoing support for life-saving missions. He was also awarded the "Winged Flight Emblem," an honorary flight badge, by the Royal Thai Air Force and Navy for his work on the Heart Wings missions. Additionally, in 2023, he was conferred an honorary Doctorate in Public Health from the Boromarajonani College of Nursing, recognizing his sustained role in supporting public health and saving lives.
