
The King Prajadhipok's Institute poll reveals that most people do not have particular confidence in any agency's performance. "Corruption" has become the top urgent issue, with over half of the public wanting serious and swift action. They also call on the government to urgently review agreements related to Cambodia.
On 8 May 2026, the King Prajadhipok's Institute, or KPI Poll, released survey results on "Public Voices on Urgent Policies in Public Administration, Security, and Confidence in Various Agencies." The survey was conducted between 24-27 April 2026 among 2,000 people aged 18 and over, distributed across regions nationwide.
When asked about confidence in the roles and performance of various agencies (surveyed by X Line Today), 68.7% said they “do not particularly trust any agency,” the highest by a wide margin. Among agencies selected, the Administrative Court received 8.2% and the Constitutional Court 8.1%.
Additionally, 60.7% of people want urgent policies to “seriously tackle corruption,” the highest priority. Next, 20.3% want expedited policies to “modernize and digitize the civil service.” Meanwhile, 12.0% support “allowing early retirement for civil servants,” and 7.0% were unsure or had no opinion.
Meanwhile, 40.9% want the government to expedite policies to “review agreements related to Cambodia,” the top issue. Following that, 23.5% want urgent review of “problematic foreign visa-free measures.” Furthermore, 18.5% call for reforms to the military conscription system, and 17.5% were unsure or had no opinion.
