Asset Disclosure: Speaker Sophon Exits MP Seat with 55 Million Baht, Pattapong Holds 470 Million

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has disclosed the asset declaration of Sophon Sarum upon leaving his MP position in Buriram, showing total assets of 55 million baht. Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Transport Pattapong Pataraprasit and his wife have declared assets totaling 470 million baht.


On 8 May 2026 GMT+7, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) revealed asset and debt declarations of political officeholders who left their MP positions following the parliament dissolution on 12 December 2025. Notable declarations include Sophon Sarum, Speaker of the House and former MP from Buriram representing Bhumjaithai Party, with total assets amounting to 55,101,288 baht. His personal assets total 31,745,288 baht, including six buildings valued at 7,240,000 baht and rights and concessions worth 13,747,064 baht. His spouse, Areeyaporn Sarum, holds assets worth 23,356,000 baht, including land valued at 9.3 million baht and investments of 7,147,010 baht.


Nann Boonthida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society and former MP from Ubon Ratchathani representing Bhumjaithai Party, declared assets totaling 45,813,398 baht, including four land plots valued at 29,284,050 baht and three buildings worth 13,241,572 baht. Pattapong Pataraprasit, Deputy Minister of Transport and former MP from Phichit representing Bhumjaithai Party, declared assets totaling 470,577,395 baht. His personal assets amount to 203,285,142 baht, including land valued at 99,654,967 baht, investments of 16,377,790 baht, and other assets worth 82,170,000 baht, such as 25 Buddhist amulets valued at 68,430,000 baht and four watches worth 11 million baht. His spouse, Montira Leelaprachakul, holds assets worth 267,189,252 baht.
