Kanoknuch Klinsang, known as councilor Nuay, a former Don Mueang district councilor for three terms, shifted from the Pheu Thai Party to run for MP under the New Opportunity Party. This time, she returns to local politics seeking to run again for Don Mueang district councilor as an independent candidate.
On 9 May 2026, reporters reported that after the Election Commission (EC) approved the election plan for the Bangkok Metropolitan Council, the Governor of Bangkok, along with Pattaya city council members and Pattaya mayor, the elections will be held on Sunday, 28 June 2026, from 08:00 to 17:00.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Council members will accept applications from 28 May to 1 June 2026, alongside the Bangkok Governor election. Candidates for councilor positions have begun to be announced, both as independents and party-affiliated.
Among them is Ms. Kanoknuch Klinsang, or councilor Nuay, former three-term Don Mueang district councilor, who has expressed her intention to run again in the same district. She has started activity on social media via her Facebook page, Kanoknuch Klinsang, posting photos from field visits and using the slogan or hashtag #FriendsOfKanoknuch. This time, she declared her candidacy as an independent without party affiliation.
Biography of Kanoknuch Klinsang
Ms. Kanoknuch Klinsang, known as councilor Nuay, was born on 19 December 1958. She is currently 67 years old. She holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Ramkhamhaeng University and a master's degree in Political Science from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University.
