At approximately 08:40 on 11 May 2026, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, former prime minister, posted a photo on her Instagram story showing her with Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, former prime minister, her father, sitting in a Mercedes-Maybach car with license plate Phor Thor 4444 Bangkok after being granted parole and released from Klong Prem Central Prison. They were en route to have an electronic monitoring (EM) bracelet fitted at Probation Office 1 in the Phran Nok area.
Ms. Paethongtarn wrote the message, "Welcome back daddy" followed by a red heart emoji. Both wore happy smiles full of joy.
