Paethongtarn posted a photo with Thaksin and the Shinawatra siblings, thanking her father for never causing distress and expressing gratitude to Khunying Potjaman for being a pillar of support, as well as thanking everyone who has stood by her through the toughest times.
At 10:10 a.m. on 11 May 2026, Paethongtarn Shinawatra, former prime minister and youngest daughter of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, shared a photo on Instagram with Thaksin, along with Panthongtae Shinawatra, Pinthongta Shinawatra Kunakornwong, Pitak Suksawat, Natthiya Puangkam, and Natthapong Kunakornwong, accompanied by a message.
“The most important thing today is that we have each other. Thank you, Dad, for never causing us distress even when you yourself were in the most difficult situation. Dad said that if he was suffering, his children would suffer even more. Thanks also to my siblings and in-laws who have stood firmly by each other. Although Mom is not in this photo, I want to sincerely thank her. Even now in her seventies, she remains a pillar of strength and a warm embrace, giving us comfort and security. Finally, thank you to friends, the Pheu Thai Party siblings, and the people who have stood by us through the hardest days. It truly means a lot to us. Love from the heart. #daddyshome”
This photo was taken at Ban Jan Song La after Thaksin was granted parole, released from Klong Prem Central Prison, and returned home.
