Rachen Accepts Transfer Reasons, Denies Involvement of Ministers Grandchild

Rachen Silparaya, Director-General of the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department, accepted the reasons for his transfer. After careful consideration, he concluded it was not related to a minister's grandchild. He confirmed he has no grievances, asked to end all news comments, will not file complaints with any agency, and asserted that as a professional civil servant, the matter is closed.

On 11 May 2026, reporters reported that Mr. Rachen Silparaya, Director-General of the Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Department, posted on his personal Facebook stating that this morning he came to the Ministry (Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives) and met with the minister's secretary. He listened to the reasons for his transfer and to his previous interview expressing dissatisfaction with the transfer because he suspected it involved the minister's grandchild.

Mr. Rachen further stated, he has considered and listened to the information and believes there is no connection. The appointment was made under the authority of the ministry’s executives, following the chain of command for approval by the Cabinet in accordance with civil service law.

"I have no objections and respectfully accept the executives’ decision. I request to stop any news that might cause public misunderstanding about this transfer in all cases. I will not file complaints with any agency. I hereby confirm this. Once it is done, it is done. I am a professional civil servant."
