Ice Cream Plans to Question PM on Chinas Gray Zone Accumulation of War Weapons

"Ice Cream" refrains from commenting on Thaksin's parole, noting the former prime minister's past national contributions and saying that sharing his knowledge would be beneficial. He is preparing to question Anutin on the issue of China's gray zone accumulation of war weapons.,

On 12 May 2026, Parit Wacharasindhu, MP of the People’s Party, commented on former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s parole and return to residence at Ban Chan Song Lao, saying he would not overstep but acknowledged that during his tenure, Thaksin implemented policies greatly beneficial to the public, such as the 30-baht universal healthcare scheme. Therefore, if Thaksin shares his knowledge and experience, it would certainly benefit the country’s development.

Regarding Thaksin’s future political role or involvement with the Pheu Thai Party, Parit said that it should be up to Thaksin and Pheu Thai to respond to society’s questions. He stated he would remain neutral and refrain from commenting on this matter.

Parit also expressed concern about security dimensions and public safety overall, especially the relationship between Thaksin and Samdech Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Senate, which could affect the Thailand-Cambodia border situation and requires close monitoring. He also raised questions about the large quantities of war weapons and C4 explosives possessed by Chinese individuals, noting the government has yet to clearly clarify whether state agencies are involved.

"The issue of China’s gray zone accumulation of war weapons is of great interest to the People’s Party, and we plan to submit a live question to the prime minister on 14 May to inquire about progress and security measures for the public," Parit concluded.
