Cabinet Appoints Lt. Col. Phatdarasmi Thongsaluaykorn as Third Deputy Government Spokesperson

The Cabinet appointed Lt. Col. Phatdarasmi Thongsaluaykorn as the third deputy government spokesperson. Chanok, Linthiporn, and Ekaphop were appointed as assistant minister committee members. Saratsanan was appointed secretary to the Minister of Culture, and two deputy directors-general of the Department of Employment were promoted to inspectors.


On 12 May 2026, Ms. Lalida Pertviwatthana, Deputy Government Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the Cabinet meeting resolved to appoint individuals to the following positions:

1. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Minister of Social Development and Human Security. Appointed Ms. Sirilak Meemak, a civil servant holding the position of Deputy Director-General of the Department of Children and Youth Affairs, to serve as Academic Advisor on Social Development (Senior Policy and Planning Analyst) at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, effective 1 October 2025. This date marks when she met all qualifications and the position became vacant due to the previous holder's retirement.

This appointment was also approved by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat.
The appointment is effective from the date of royal endorsement.

2. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Minister of Education. Appointed Mr. Ittikorn Changsakol, a civil servant serving as Director (Senior Director) of the Information Technology and Communications Center at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, to serve as Advisor on Information Systems Technology (Senior Academic Officer) at the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, effective 6 August 2025. This is the date he fully met the qualifications.

This appointment was approved by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat.
The appointment is effective from the date of royal endorsement.

3. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Approved the appointment of Mr. Prama Sastraruji, a highly knowledgeable and skilled individual, as Advisor on Research Systems (Senior Policy and Planning Analyst) at the National Research Office (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. This appointment fills a vacant position.

The appointment is effective from the date of royal endorsement.
This appointment was also approved by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat.

4. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Appointed Mr. Tor Soralump, a civil servant serving as Consul General at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Los Angeles, USA, to serve as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, to fill a vacant position.

This appointment is effective from the date of royal endorsement and has received approval from the receiving country.
This appointment was approved by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew.

5. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Minister of Labour to appoint two senior civil servants from the Ministry of Labour to managerial level positions, replacing vacant posts as follows:

1. Mr. Mongkol Songkram, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Employment, to serve as Inspector General at the Ministry of Labour's Office of the Permanent Secretary.
2. Mr. Wichit Intharacharoen, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Employment, to serve as Inspector General at the Ministry of Labour's Office of the Permanent Secretary.

These appointments are effective from the date of royal endorsement.
These appointments were approved by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat.

6. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Minister of Education to appoint three political officials as follows:

1. Mr. Yutthaphong Charasathien to serve as Advisor to the Minister of Education.
2. Mr. Wanlop Rujirakorn to serve as Secretary to the Minister of Education.
3. Mr. Phakwat Srisuraphon to serve as Assistant Secretary to the Minister of Education, acting as Secretary to the Deputy Minister of Education (Mr. Akaranat Kankittinan).

These appointments are effective from the date of the Cabinet resolution.
These appointments were approved by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat.

7. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Culture regarding the appointment of acting ministers for the Ministry of Culture, totaling two persons as follows:

1. Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, Ms. Supamas Isaraphakdi.
2. Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Mr. Chaichanok Chidchob.

These appointments are effective from 12 May 2026 onward.

8. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Secretariat of the Prime Minister. Appointed four political officials as follows: 1.

Lt. Col. Phatdarasmi Thongsaluaykorn as Deputy Government Spokesperson at the Prime Minister's Office. 2.
Police Major General Paisan Wongwatchramongkol, assigned to the Secretariat of the Prime Minister. 3.
Mr. Setthanun Raphael Techawiboon, assigned to the Secretariat of the Prime Minister. 4.
Mr. Thanakorn Rattanakorn, assigned to the Secretariat of the Prime Minister. These appointments are effective from 12 May 2026 onward.

9. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports to appoint two political officials as follows:

1.

Ms. Pramen Raknak was appointed Advisor to the Minister of Tourism and Sports. 2.
Mr. Patsakorn Rangsivattanasak was appointed Secretary to the Minister of Tourism and Sports. These appointments are effective from 12 May 2026 onward.

10. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Transport.

Appointed Mr. Satha Khawkhum as Advisor to the Minister of Transport. This appointment is effective from 12 May 2026 onward. 11. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Culture to appoint two political officials as follows:

1.

Mr. Parmet Photharakul to serve as Advisor to the Minister of Culture. 2.
Ms. Saratsanan Arnanopphorn to serve as Secretary to the Minister of Culture. These appointments are effective from 12 May 2026 onward.

12. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Secretariat of the Prime Minister to appoint assistant minister committee members,

totaling four persons as follows: 1. General Atthaphol Ladmaikulwat.

2. Lieutenant General Woraphon Kaewwijit.
3. Ms. Chanok Chantathong.
4. Ms. Linthiporn Warinwatcharot.
These appointments are effective from 12 May 2026 onward. 13. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Secretariat of the Prime Minister to appoint Ms. Ploylapas Singthothong as a political official assigned to the Secretariat of the Prime Minister.

This appointment is effective from 12 May 2026 onward.

14. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to appoint Mr. Attayut Srisamut as a political official serving as Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs. This appointment is effective from 12 May 2026 onward.

15. The Cabinet approved the proposal from the Secretariat of the Prime Minister to appoint two assistant minister committee members as follows: 1. Mr. Ekaphop Pianpiset.

2. Mr. Surachart Chanpradit. These appointments are effective from 12 May 2026 onward.
