By virtue of Section 7 of the 2017 Royal Security Act, Sections 6, 7, and 10 of the 1937 Royal Guard Act, Sections 4, 5, and 6 of the 1951 Royal Police Act, and Section 6 of the 2016 Ministry of Defence regulations on Royal Guard appointments,
His Majesty graciously commands the appointment of four retired commissioned officers and retired commissioned police officers as Special Royal Guard officers and Special Royal Guard police officers as follows:
One retired commissioned officer from the Army branch:
1. Lieutenant General Seri Trikuruthaphan
Two retired commissioned officers from the Navy branch:
2. Rear Admiral Suriya Phakdisena
3. Commodore Khwanchai Khamsom
One retired commissioned police officer:
4. Police Lieutenant General Yingyos Thepjumnong
These appointments take effect from 3 May 2026.
