
Prime Minister Anutin arrived at Koh Phangan in Surat Thani by speedboat. Residents held welcome signs expressing joy at meeting him. The Prime Minister said that his visit would resolve the issues.
At 12:30 p.m. on 13 May 2026, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul arrived at Samui International Airport. He was welcomed by Surat Thani Governor Pipit Rattanarak and Member of Parliament for Surat Thani District 2 from the Bhumjaithai Party. The Prime Minister traveled in a black Toyota Alphard with license plate 4 Gor 5577 from Bangkok.
At 12:50 p.m., the Prime Minister boarded a boat at Bang Rak Pier, Koh Samui District, Surat Thani Province, to cross over to Koh Phangan. He sat at the front of the speedboat and called Deputy Minister of Transport Sanphet Boonyamanee to discuss improving the old pier, ordering regulations to be revised so that private companies and the public could use it better.
Upon arrival at the pier in Koh Phangan District, the Prime Minister greeted children waiting there. He asked their names; the children replied they were Ja and Beauty. The Prime Minister responded, "Hearing those names just wears me out."
Meanwhile, residents held signs welcoming the Prime Minister with messages such as "Supporting the Prime Minister," "Problems end with the Prime Minister's visit," "Koh Phangan people are happy and smiling to see the Prime Minister," and "Glad to meet Prime Minister Anutin." Before boarding the vehicle, the Prime Minister was also given flowers as encouragement.
