The Minister of Education visited China to study world-class model schools, hoping to bring educational technology to transform Thai schools into intelligent systems.
On 12 May 2026, Mr. Prasert Chantraruangthong, Minister of Education, led a delegation to fly to Hangzhou to study world-class model schools during the WDEC 2026 conference, preparing to bring advanced educational technology to transform schools in Thailand into smart systems.
The Minister expressed his admiration for the Smart Campus system of Dahua Kindergarten, which uses AI technology to monitor individual health and safety, as well as the model from Information Harbor Primary School that collaborates with the private sector to use 3D and laser printing technology to train engineering skills in third-grade students, enabling them to build real car models. This serves as a key inspiration for developing future skills curricula.
"The Ministry of Education's goal is to create a safe and world-savvy learning ecosystem. We will adapt the Hangzhou model to fit Thailand’s context to nurture Thai youth into capable innovators who can compete in the 21st century," said Mr. Prasert.
