The Bhumjaithai Party spokesperson revealed that after investigation, the online audio clip of Prime Minister Anutin regarding the opening of checkpoints is AI-generated. He criticized it as created to mislead, generate likes, and pursue political agendas, noting that apologies may not apply to every case.
At 14:42 on 13 May 2026, Ms. Nan Boonthida Somchai, Deputy Minister of Digital Economy and Society and spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party, posted on Facebook regarding an audio clip of Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul circulating online about opening checkpoints as soon as possible within June. She confirmed that it was entirely AI-generated. This is neither the first nor the last case made to mislead, defame, or seek political advantage or personal satisfaction simply due to dislike of the individual.
Ms. Nan Boonthida further posted that in this chaotic and confusing world, many groups continue to worsen the situation with deceptive information to gain engagement and likes, showing no social responsibility. Whenever issues escalate, the victims have every right to protect their reputation under the law. Sometimes, apologies are not effective in every case.
