14 May 2026 GMT+7 Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, clarified regarding reports claiming the Secretariat of the Cabinet would propose to the Cabinet to designate additional special public holidays, resulting in extended holidays in June and July 2026. She confirmed that "this is completely untrue."
Ms. Ratchada added, there has been no consideration, proposal, or resolution by the Cabinet on this matter at all. She urged the public to carefully verify information before believing or sharing it, as it may cause widespread misunderstandings. She advised the public to rely on official sources, which can be checked with the Secretariat of the Cabinet.
