Anutin Showcases Singing Talent with “See You in My Dreams” Opening Thai Music Youth Contest

Prime Minister Anutin showcased his vocal skills by singing “See You in My Dreams” to open the singing contest of the Thai Music Youth Preservation project organized by the Crown Property Bureau. He sweetly promised he would return home to sing “Never Loved Anyone Like You” for his family.

At 10:00 a.m. on 15 May 2026, at the Kiattikun Phanna 2 Room, Kiattikun Phanna Building (Administration Building), Crown Property Bureau, Nakhon Ratchasima Road, Dusit District, Bangkok, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended the press conference for the 3rd Thai Music Youth Preservation project by the Crown Property Bureau, featuring Luk Krung, Luk Thung, and contemporary Thai music competitions for 2026.

Anutin said this project is valuable as it reflects the lifestyle and national identity. Youth will learn through these songs, which embody love and pride in being Thai. He fondly recalled the atmosphere of last year’s final competition, impressed by the talent, dedication, and energy of youth nationwide. This confirmed that the platform truly inspires and brings value to Thai society. He also praised the cooperation among all sectors, including government agencies, private music industry, artists, trainers, media, and supporting organizations sharing the same goal. He commended the Crown Property Bureau and all involved for organizing this meaningful project, saying it brings prosperity to all. When asked if the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior would attend, he noted the event remains well supported.

Anutin added that, as head of government, he affirms the government's readiness to support activities that develop youth and promote national cultural values. He hopes the project will continue consistently. He personally has a strong interest and appreciation for music and was pleased to meet the event organizers, who are teachers and supporters of music. This makes him feel that the work is done out of love, not just as policy or duty. Older songs teach how our country has developed culturally, and we must support and preserve this heritage. The song lyrics carry lessons applicable to everyday life, including his own work and lifestyle.

Anutin noted that earlier on stage he sang a song he had just heard, "Never Loved Anyone Like You," and he plans to practice it to sing for his family at home. He hopes everyone enjoys and finds delight in music, as engaging with music and melody brings gentleness, wisdom, a sense of responsibility, and benefits both ourselves and those close to us. He reaffirmed his full support and confirmed that if he remains Prime Minister, he will definitely attend the event on 31 October.

Afterward, Anutin took the stage to sing “See You in My Dreams” by national artist Charin Nantanakorn.
