Profile of Narongsak Muangsiri, Bangkok Councilor for Bang Bon, another key local political leader from the Muangsiri family, now seeking to retain his seat under the "Working People" group name.

On 15 May 2026, another key figure from the prominent Muangsiri family announced his intention to retain the Bangkok Metropolitan Council seat for Bang Bon district: Mr. Narongsak Muangsiri, also known as Berd. He defined the term "Working People means independence," declaring it is not a political party but an independent group without hidden agendas.

Mr. Narongsak was born on 31 March 1976 and is 50 years old. He is the son of Mr. Praphan Muangsiri, a former village headman and multiple-term Bang Bon councilor. He is also a cousin of Mr. Sarach Muangsiri, who is a councilor for Bang Khun Thian district.

- Educational background: Bachelor of Political Science from Ramkhamhaeng University.

- Narongsak entered local politics alongside his cousin Sarach Muangsiri, first elected as Bang Bon councilor in 2010 representing the Democrat Party. He was re-elected to the Bangkok Metropolitan Council for a second term in 2022, also with the Democrat Party. In 2025, the Muangsiri family collectively shifted affiliation to the Pheu Thai Party, including Narongsak.

Although Narongsak has served only two terms as Bang Bon councilor, the Muangsiri family is a longstanding local political dynasty with a solid base in Thonburi, particularly in Bang Khun Thian and Bang Bon districts. The family has consistently succeeded in both local and national politics. Notably, his father, Mr. Praphan Muangsiri, was a former village headman and served as Bang Bon councilor twice, in 2002 and 2010 respectively.

His work experience from 2022 to present includes:

1. Member of the Council Affairs Committee.
2. Member of the Committee on Economic, Financial, Fiscal, and Budget Affairs.
3. Member of the Committee on Drainage.

This time, both Narongsak and Sarach have jointly decided to run again for their respective council seats as independents under the group "Working People." Confident in their family's political strength, they repeatedly emphasize that "Working People" means independence, free from political party control. The upcoming Bangkok council elections will be a key test to see if the Muangsiri family can retain their local council seats in Bang Bon and Bang Khun Thian districts for another term.
