The Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration launched a nationwide mobile market caravan! The kickoff of 'Thai Help Thai' delivers affordable goods straight to doorsteps, alleviating hardships for grassroots communities.
On 15 May 2026 at Sam Khok District Office, Pathum Thani Province, Mr. Naruecha Kosavisivilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, presided over the grand launch of the mobile market caravan in the 'Thai Help Thai: Reducing Living Costs through Mobile Market Networks' kickoff event. This proactive initiative aligns with government policies to ease citizens' financial burdens, with simultaneous activities held at district offices nationwide.
Mr. Naruecha revealed that this project is a major integrated collaboration among the Department of Provincial Administration (Interior Ministry), the Department of Internal Trade (Commerce Ministry), and Thailand Post (Digital Economy and Society Ministry). It aims to distribute essential consumer goods at affordable prices directly to villagers by utilizing the 'mobile market' vehicles, which are street vendors closely connected to local lifestyles, serving as the spearhead for distributing quality goods at low prices.
At Sam Khok District, over 10 mobile market vendors participated in the project, bringing special-priced products from leading wholesale and retail stores as well as local community enterprise products for diverse sale. After the caravan launch ceremony, the Director-General and executives personally joined in selling goods in the Bang Toey community to meet and hear feedback directly from local residents.
The main goal of this project is to increase public access to quality goods at reasonable prices, reducing living costs amid the current economic situation. It also creates jobs and income for small-scale street vendors, strengthening the grassroots economy at the community level for sustainable growth, in line with the Ministry of Interior's mission to 'relieve hardship and promote well-being.'
