Showcasing Thai Fusion Dinner Menu by Government and Business Leaders Featuring Pomelo Salad Tart and Three-Colored Rice

Students from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University showcased their skills by preparing a “Thai Fusion” dinner served by the government to business magnates, featuring pomelo salad tart and three-colored rice, reflecting the collaborative power of government, private sector, and education.

On 15 May 2026, Ms. Ratchada Thanadirek, spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, disclosed details of the dinner held at the Santi Maitri Building (west wing) following a discussion between Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and leaders from 10 industrial business groups. She noted the uniqueness of this dinner was the opportunity for Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University students to showcase their skills alongside Wang Suan Sunandha Hotel, providing a platform for practical training in a national-level setting.

The dinner menu was designed under the concept of a “Thai Fusion Set,” utilizing domestic ingredients to add value through the creativity of the younger generation. Examples included pomelo salad tart and sweet shrimp with watermelon as hors d'oeuvres, and three-colored rice stir-fried with chili and salt accompanied by herb-grilled fish as the main course, highlighting a contemporary style. The Faculty of Home Economics managed the floral and table arrangements using entirely university-provided materials to reflect Thai identity and meticulousness.

The government spokesperson stated that the Prime Minister had instructed the Secretary-General to the Prime Minister to continuously support Thai educational institutions' participation in such activities, granting students the freedom to present ideas for both the menu and venue decoration, allowing them to learn from real situations and connect directly with the business sector.

“This platform reflects the Prime Minister’s vision of developing people, creating opportunities, and building the economy simultaneously. It elevates the service industry and prepares a quality workforce for the global market, serving as a crucial foundation to enhance Thailand's long-term competitiveness,” said Ms. Ratchada. She added that tonight’s dinner was not only a means to strengthen ties between the government and private sector but also a symbol of the “Triple Collaboration” (government, private sector, education) jointly driving the nation’s creative economy in a concrete way.
