At 11:20 a.m. on 15 May 2026, at the Office of the Royal Treasury on Nakhon Ratchasima Road in Dusit District, Bangkok, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul was asked about the case of Mr. Yon from Surin Province who was detained by Cambodian soldiers, specifically whether he had received reports about his release.
The Prime Minister briefly responded that he had already received reports last night indicating that the release would occur, adding that it was good news and he hoped it would indeed happen as reported.
