Noo - Ja Fly to Phetchabun to Kick Off the Hug Bang Fai Phutoi Tradition to Promote Historical Tourism

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his wife flew urgently to Phetchabun to kick off the "Hug Bang Fai Phutoi" festival, inspecting Sri Thep and Khao Khlang Nok to promote historical tourism.


On 16 May 2026 at the 2nd Cavalry Regiment King's Guard (2nd Cavalry Regiment King's Guard) at Sanam Pao, Bangkok, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who is also Minister of Interior, accompanied by his wife Thannon Charnvirakul, led a delegation including Minister of Public Health Pattana Promphat and Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Pertvivatana to board a helicopter to Phetchabun province for official duties and to participate in a local cultural tradition event.

During this visit, the Prime Minister was scheduled to preside over the opening ceremony of the annual "Hug Bang Fai Phutoi" festival 2026 in Wichian Buri district, a grand and significant local tradition that reflects the identity, culture, and strong unity among the people of the Phutoi community.

Additionally, Anutin and his delegation planned to visit the Sri Thep Historical Park and the Khao Khlang Nok archaeological site in Sri Thep district to monitor the progress of developing these world-class archaeological sites and explore ways to enhance Phetchabun’s historical tourism. This effort aims to promote cultural tourism and stimulate sustainable economic benefits for the local community.
