Biography of Nipapan Junglertsiri, Daughter of Jermmas Junglertsiri, Influential Family in Pom Prap Sattru Phai District

Biography of Nipapan Junglertsiri, daughter of Jermmas Junglertsiri from a prominent family in Pom Prap Sattru Phai district, who remains steadfast with the Democrat Party and aims to retain her Bangkok inner-city councilor seat.

On 17 May 2026, if the name “Councilor Koop” is mentioned, many might not recognize her face. However, when told that Miss Nipapan, or “Koop,” is the daughter of Jermmas Junglertsiri, many would say “Ah.” Although Miss Nipapan was only elected as a councilor once in the 2022 election, the family “Junglertsiri” is regarded as a prominent family with a long-standing role in Pom Prap district. Since 2001, Mrs. Jermmas Junglertsiri, councilor Koop’s mother, began her political career in local politics and was elected as a councilor under the Thai Power group in her first term, and under the Democrat Party in her second term, before resigning to run for a general election. She was then elected as a Bangkok Member of Parliament for the Democrat Party for three terms from 2005 to 2013.

In the councilor arena, Mrs. Jermmas passed the baton to Mr. Ek Junglertsiri, her husband and Nipapan’s father, who succeeded her. Mr. Ek was elected as councilor for three terms from 2005 to 2014, also under the Democrat Party. Currently, Mrs. Jermmas serves as the treasurer of the Democrat Party.
