Anutin criticized Seripisut, saying fabricating issues also falls under unethical behavior. He suggested it might be due to not getting his way, teasing that as a former police officer, Seripisut may be used to intimidating people. Anutin emphasized he has no involvement with the Khao Kradong issue.
At 16:50 on 18 May 2026, at the Government House, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul gave an interview regarding Pol. Gen. Seripisut Temiyaves, a party-list MP of the Seri Ruam Thai Party, preparing to file a constitutional complaint to disqualify Anutin for ethical violations over neglecting the Khao Kradong land issue, saying fabricating issues also counts as unethical behavior; just having fun with it.
When asked if "fabricating issues" referred to those planning to confront Buriram province, Anutin replied, "Why must we confront Buriram? Anyone can go. Just let me know when you go; maybe I'll join for a meal." Asked if he was confident the Khao Kradong issue would not affect him, Anutin responded, "What do I have to do with Khao Kradong? Tell me how I’m involved. I've said many times that I have a registered residence there because the constitution drafted by former Deputy Prime Minister Bowornsak Uwanno stipulated it, though it’s not enforced. I’ve never owned land there or taken any action to acquire assets in Buriram province. This is about me. If someone wants to sue, I don’t know what to sue about, but I can't stop them."
Regarding the progress of the Khao Kradong matter as Minister of Interior, Anutin said it is still in court. Whatever the court's decision, it must be followed. This is a matter of justice. I don’t know why others are troubled by it. The State Railway of Thailand and private parties have filed suits against each other, but there is only one final verdict. Whoever is right or wrong must abide by the court’s judgment. But the rumors that I own land there are not true."
When asked if he would counter-sue, Anutin revealed, "He’s almost 80 years old. No, I won’t." When pressed if this was not considered intimidation, the Prime Minister replied, "Well, he’s a former police officer, so he’s probably used to doing things this way—intimidating everyone. Actually, we get along well, but suddenly he’s upset with me for no reason. Maybe he’s angry because I didn’t comply with something of his. I don’t know."
When asked what he refused to comply with, Anutin answered, "You should ask him. Ask his subordinates or ask Hia Meng (Mr. Wirat Worasawirin), deputy leader of the Seri Ruam Thai Party."
