On 18 May 2026, reporters reported that Mom Luang Korakasiwat Kasemsri former deputy party leader and ex-prime ministerial candidate of the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP), invited the media to attend the launch event for his candidacy for Governor of Bangkok under the campaign "SAVE BKK - BKK SAFT" on 24 May 2026, from 14:00 to 16:00 at the Thammasat Association (Sathorn).
He also stated, "Greetings to the people of Bangkok and all members of the media. Bangkok is our home—a place full of life, smiles, and hope. Yet, this home still faces many issues that we want to change to become safer, more livable, and with a better future for our children and grandchildren. We believe Bangkok must be safe and welcoming for everyone because every voice is power, and every opinion from our citizens is the heart of building a safe Bangkok. We sincerely intend to think, act, and serve everyone. Let’s share perspectives and support each other."
