The legal team has stepped in to prohibit the use of Chadchart's face, name, or logo on campaign signs alongside Bangkok council candidates without permission, urging those covertly using them to correct this immediately before violating election laws.
On 19 May 2026, the legal team of Mr. Chadchart Sitthiphan, former Governor of Bangkok, submitted a letter to the Bangkok Election Commission stating that as of now, Mr. Chadchart Sitthiphan has not granted consent to any prospective candidate for the Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMC) to use his name, slogan, motto, or image jointly for campaigning in the 2026 Bangkok elections.
If any prospective candidate violates this, it will be considered a breach of election law under the Election Commission's regulations on campaigning methods and prohibited conduct for local council or executive elections, B.E. 2563 (2020). Clause 18 requires that using another person's information or image for campaigning must have that person's consent. Clause 23(6) forbids candidates or others from campaigning by using another person's name, motto, slogan, or image without written permission from the individual or political party.
Therefore, those currently using Mr. Chadchart Sitthiphan's image, name, slogan, or motto for campaigning without authorization are urged to promptly correct or remove them. Otherwise, Chadchart's legal team will proceed to file complaints with the Election Commission.
