Bangkok Governor Election 2026: Chadchart Launches Re-election Campaign Bangkok Works

"Chadchart" launched his campaign for a second term as Bangkok Governor under the slogan "Bangkok Works," displaying messages on 37 LED screens, stressing dedicated work without conflicts, aiming to make Bangkok a city of opportunity competitive globally.

On 19 May 2026, following Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt's resignation as Governor of Bangkok on 18 May 2026, his team began launching the second-term campaign by displaying messages on 37 LED screens along the Chalerm Maha Nakhon Expressway near Rapphon Kai (Benjakitti Forest Park, Duangphitak Road side) under the team's original communication concept, "Work with Fun."

This launch featured a playful approach with LED messages starting with "A city creates opportunities, Christmas Day creates hope," then revealing the main message, "A city creates opportunities, Team Chadchart creates hope," accompanied by a brief "Hey!" to add rhythm and color to the communication.

The LED messages included: "A city creates opportunities, Team Chadchart creates hope," "A city creates opportunities, Christmas Day creates hope," "Hey!", "Chadchart is ready to continue as Governor," "With over 250 policies," "Driving Bangkok forward," "Governor election 28 June," "Once again!", and "28 June."

Mr. Chadchart also explained the "Bangkok Works" concept for his re-election bid, stating it has two meanings: a city system that works for its citizens, and everyone working together to build a city with more opportunities and hope. The city's primary duty is to create opportunities for all, not just some groups, as it is the space where people live, work, and grow. Therefore, city development must improve citizens' economy, education, and health.

Mr. Chadchart said that many people have lost hope in the city and its systems. His team aims to restore hope so people can confidently move forward into the future, aligning with the campaign's main tagline: "A city creates opportunities, Team Chadchart creates hope."

Regarding his team, Mr. Chadchart emphasized that work must start with enjoyment; if work is not fun, it may mean it does not match one's passion or spirit. He stressed the team works with sincere dedication, not seeking positions or benefits, but hoping to improve the city through constructive work without conflict or insults. "So far, I believe we have worked with enjoyment. We did not argue or insult anyone but worked with hope to make this city better," he said.

Mr. Chadchart concluded that the next four years should not only improve Bangkok from its current state but make it a city capable of competing with cities worldwide. Since cities globally are rapidly changing due to technology, Bangkok no longer competes only with itself but must compete on a global level. "The city remains a labor market and a place where people settle because of jobs and opportunities. Therefore, the heart of city development is to make Bangkok a city that brings happiness, opportunities, and hope to everyone," he added.

The campaign launch followed Mr. Chadchart's announcement to run again for Bangkok Governor. The LED screens also reminded voters of the election date with messages: "Governor election on 28 June." and "Once again! 28 June." These messages aim to encourage citizens to remember the Bangkok Governor election date. The new Bangkok Governor election date..
