Special Promotion to General Rank Granted to 14 Police Officers Allowed to Resign under Personnel Restructuring Program

A royal decree has granted special police general ranks to 14 officers who were permitted to resign under the 28th personnel restructuring program.


On 19 May 2026, the Government Gazette website publishedan announcement from the Prime Minister's Office regarding the special promotion to police general ranks.Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul countersigned the royal decree.

By royal command, special police general ranks were granted to police officers who were authorized to resign under the 28th personnel restructuring program. (Fiscal year 2026) totaling 14 individuals, as follows:

1. Police Lieutenant General Direk Thananonniwas promoted to Police General.

2. Police Lieutenant General Yingyos Thepjumnong promoted to Police General.

3. Police Lieutenant General Wiwat Chaisangha promoted to Police General.

4. Police Lieutenant General Udon Yomjaroen promoted to Police General.

5. Police Major General Chawan Prateerat promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

6. Police Major General Therdpong Limpiteep promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

7. Police Major General Bundit Niloan promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

8. Police Major General Preeda Imcharoen promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

9. Police Major General Pongnakhon Nakornsantipap promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

10. Police Major General Wirasak Yaemsaeng promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

11. Police Major General Weer Jirarattanawan promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

12. Police Major General Santhan Intrajak promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

13. Police Major General Surasak Laohapiboonkul promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

14. Police Major General Suraphan Thaiprasert promoted to Police Lieutenant General.

The promotions are effective from 1 April 2026 onwards.
The announcement was made on 12 May 2026.
