At 08:50 on 20 May 2026 at Government House, Chaiyachon Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society and Secretary-General of the Bhumjaithai Party, responded to Padipat Santiprada, former First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, who commented that the government's constitutional draft was a waste of time and that Nawin and his family should just write it themselves. Chaiyachon said he was uncertain of Padipat's intent. He emphasized that his team is committed to producing amendments that benefit the country and guaranteed he was not involved in drafting the amendments himself. Instead, experienced and dedicated team members are working on the changes. He offered this view as he was unsure how else to respond.
Meanwhile, Pradorn Prissanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office and Bhumjaithai MP for Ang Thong, smiled when reporters asked about the issue, then replied with a question, "Who is Dr. Ong?" Before reporters explained that Dr. Ong referred to the former First Deputy Speaker of the House, Pradorn smiled and exclaimed, "Oh, I see."
