Housekeepers were mobilized to quickly clear the flooded B1 level parking lot at the Parliament building after heavy rain overnight, which left debris floating around.
On 21 May 2026, reporters at the Parliament reported that heavy rain across Bangkok during the late hours of 20 May caused flooding in the area. The underground parking lot on level B1 was flooded. The flooding covered a wide area with water several centimeters deep, and some debris was floating around.
Earlier this morning, housekeepers responsible for cleaning various zones of the Parliament building were mobilized and equipped to sweep water into drainage channels to clear the parking and traffic areas on that level. This was to restore normal parking use ahead of the House of Representatives and 35 standing committees' meetings starting at 9:00 a.m.
