NACC and PACC Collaborate to Inspect Supply Office Over Transparency of Three Mega Projects

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) joined forces with the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) to actively inspect the Supply Office, monitoring three major projects with nearly 2 billion baht in committed budget.

On 22 May 2026, the NACC office, led by Ms. Ladda Duansawang, Director of the Anti-Corruption Measures Bureau, assigned Mr. Kritchai Promwan, Director of the IT System Development Group for Surveillance and Corruption Deterrence, to lead a team comprising officials from the Anti-Corruption Measures Bureau, the Investigation and Special Affairs Bureau, and the IT Bureau, coordinating with the PACC to conduct an on-site inspection at the Supply Office in Dusit District, Bangkok.

This rapid on-site inspection aimed primarily to monitor and track transparency in large-scale procurement projects of the Royal Thai Police funded by the 2026 fiscal budget. The projects, each with budgets of at least 500 million baht and involving committed expenditures, include three main initiatives: the procurement of 19 mobile signal identification toolkits worth 490.2 million baht, intended as electronic equipment for security missions to identify individuals. This project’s contract has been signed and is awaiting delivery of parts.

The third phase of the modern investigative development project, valued at 497.8 million baht, involves purchasing 19 Phase Array position analysis units—advanced technical tools for investigative teams to track and locate tactical targets. This project is currently in the procurement approval stage. Additionally, the purchase of 7,865 motorcycles for traffic and patrol duties, totaling 885.6 million baht, aims to replace old motorcycles used for over seven years or those that are damaged and fuel-inefficient to improve operational efficiency on the roads. This contract has also been signed and awaits delivery.

Representatives from the NACC stated that the primary purpose of visiting the Police Supply Office was to closely monitor progress and establish mechanisms to prevent corruption vulnerabilities, given that these three projects involve substantial national budget allocations.

The NACC and PACC emphasized and urged the responsible units within the Royal Thai Police to strictly uphold good governance principles, particularly regarding public disclosure of information throughout all processes to ensure transparency and traceability. This is to guarantee that taxpayers’ money is used cost-effectively and benefits national security to the fullest extent.
