The government has enabled restaurants to participate in the “Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40” program via food delivery platforms, with benefits available from 15 June. This supports restaurant incomes and facilitates convenience for the public.
25 May 2026 GMT+7 Ms. Lalida Pertvivatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Office of the Prime Minister, revealed that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, is moving forward to expand the measure “Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40” to the food delivery system. This aims to increase sales channels for food and beverage outlets and provide convenience for the public to use benefits through delivery applications more easily, aligning with consumer behavior in the digital era and helping to stimulate the grassroots economy comprehensively.
The Deputy Government Spokesperson stated, that the public will be able to start using the benefits through food delivery platforms from 15 June to 30 September 2026, between 06:00 and 21:00 hours. Participating food and beverage vendors can join the program via food delivery platforms starting 10 June 2026.
Merchants can operate through the “Thung Ngern” app by downloading or updating to the latest version, then tapping the “Food Delivery Project” banner on the app to accept terms and conditions before selecting the desired food delivery platform to join. After completing these steps, merchants can receive food and beverage orders from customers via the delivery system. The platform will assign riders to pick up and deliver orders to consumers as usual, while merchants can track payment history through the “Thung Ngern” application.
However, the government expects that linking the Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40 project with food delivery platforms will increase market opportunities for small restaurants, boost sales and income for entrepreneurs, and enable the public to access food and services at affordable prices more conveniently.
“The government places great importance on using digital technology to drive the grassroots economy, support small entrepreneurs, and reduce the cost of living simultaneously, ensuring that funds circulate and reach communities widely.”
